Accessibility statement
for Made By Bramble Ltd

This accessibility statement applies to the Made By Bramble website (madebybramble.co.uk).

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. We aim to meet at least Level A of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 - an internationally recognised set of recommendations for improving web accessibility.

This means you should be able to:

  • Navigate the website using only a keyboard.
  • Pause, stop, or control any moving or automatic content, including an option to disable all animations site-wide via the extra menu.
  • Understand the content with minimal use of complex language.
  • Access all information without relying solely on colour to convey meaning
  • Use most website features with a screen reader (including VoiceOver)

We've also worked to make the website's text clear and simple to understand.

How accessible this website is

We aim to make this website as accessible and usable as possible for everyone. It is designed to meet WCAG 2.2 Level A and is regularly tested using automated tools, screen readers (such as VoiceOver), and manual keyboard-only navigation.

What works well

  • All content is accessible via keyboard navigation
  • Headings are structured logically for screen readers
  • Images include descriptive alternative text
  • Tables include screen reader-only text to clarify meaning on mobile and desktop
  • Text and interactive elements maintain high contrast and readable sizing
  • Focus states are clearly visible
  • The site respects system settings such as prefers-reduced-motion, and also includes a manual option to disable all animations. This setting can be found in the extra menu (accessible via the site's pop-in menu).

Known limitations

We know that some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

  • Some layout-only table rows are announced as empty by screen readers (e.g. “Row 1, Column 1 of 7”) - this is expected and does not affect understanding
  • One or more tables on the site could better express relationships for screen readers (WCAG 1.3.1: Info and Relationships)

We are reviewing and improving these areas as part of our roadmap toward full WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliance.

Ongoing testing and validation

We are currently in the process of testing the website using the IBM Equal Access Accessibility Checker, alongside other manual and automated testing tools, to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to accessibility standards. Feedback from these evaluations is actively informing our development roadmap as we work toward full WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliance.

Ongoing improvements toward Level AA

We are actively working toward meeting WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards. We plan to implement these enhancements over the next 6 to 12 months and will update this statement accordingly.
